5Gen quick swaybar disconnects Front and Rear

Hey Guys,
I have been trying to find quick swaybar disconnects, Front and Rear for my 5th GEN Toyota 4Runner. Quick swaybar disconnects gave my old 4runner some great articulation, and I was very impressed with this modification. My only problem is the guy who made my old swaybar disconnects had a heart attack and passed away a couple years ago. I have found a guy on this website Mstudt that looks like he makes a good set, but I was hoping to see some pictures of some people that of already made this modification, and hear how it worked out for them? Or if there was anyone else who made a good set of quick disconnects?
So I thought I'd ask you guys and see what you thought?

Thanks,

I have those disconnects on my 4th gen that mstudt makes. I believe he has made some revisions since I purchased my set though. I'm actually selling my set in the classified section. What I have found is they only add a little articulation but they do make a little noise when connected but are louder when disconnected. I guess I'm not ready to give up my quiet ride quite yet. If I ever find articulation an issue, I will just remove the sway bars altogether, which I may do down the road anyway. You can read more about my experience with them in my 4th gen build thread, toward the last part of the thread.

I have them on my 5th Gen. Zero noise when the pins are in place. The key is to make sure that the heims are bolted in super tight so they can't move up and down the disconnect. Drives completely normally as well; just like they are normal links.

Off-road the front end articulates much easier. Hard to say if there's any additional travel but it definitely moves more smoothly. They are noisy when disconnected and it can take some getting used to. It sounds like stuff is falling off your rig.

I don't run a rear sway bar at all. First, it interferes with my rear diff skid. Second, reconnecting the links was a giant pain in the ass (I had the double disconnect rears). The front is also a pain in the ass but to reconnect but not as bad as the rear. For as little as I've gone off-road this year it's not a big deal. That reminds me that I want to take another look at the rear before giving up completely.

He had made several improvements since I got mine. Most notably the pins are different. The new pins eliminate interference with the spindle in the front. They also may be easier to reconnect. I haven't picked up the new ones yet myself so I can't confirm that personally.

To be clear. What people are talking about here are sliding links. Regular disconnects will not work for the font as the sway-bar would hit the cv boots.

I ordered some of the sliding links and tired them. They work pretty well. As @%1;stated. No noise when connected at all as long as they are installed correctly. When the pins are out and they are sliding.... They will randomly make noise. It's a little disturbing...It's not quite as good as being fully disconnected but it definitely helps.

Also, the most ideal solution is a single sided disconnect where the entire swaybar arm is disconnected on one side and removed. It's quick, easy and perfectly quiet, but difficult to fabricate this design so that the welds will never fail... I'm still trying to perfect mine. It has failed twice. I have a thread about it on here somewhere.

I'm about to go LT.... So that will be the end of my front swaybar.... Hopefully, the wider track with some adjustable compression valve tuning will keep things stable on the road. If that is not enough I may do an adjustable anti-rock in the rear.

I was definitely nervous about the LT due to there not being a sway bar upfront. I often times have kids in the car and do like to drive this thing like a sports car sometimes. Chickened out and went mid-travel

I was talking with Total Chaos and they have plans to attempt a LT front swaybar. Not sure what they will come up with, but it is in their plans.

If they could partner with someone like Addco and fab a stiffer-than-OEM sway bar that connects to their +2 LCA and can be disconnected without interference...
