with camburg coilover + uca with gusset, tundra big brakes, rock sliders, wet okol set covers, weather tech digi cut, dubble din touch screen+ bostan acoustic sub!

I startered with the brakes since there were vibrating really bad, did the tundra 13wl brake set up. I bought eveything from toyota till I realize the calipers are 400 a piece so i called yota yard(Yota Yard - Used Toyota Parts)
bought some used ones for 60 each

Next I stumbled on a crazy deal that i could not pass up for a pair of camburg coilover! i just had to rebuild them! sounded way easer the it was, probably took me over 2 months between ordering parts, parts not getting shipped on time, and trying to find some one to fill them with nitrogen. I started to get a steering wheel vibration, so I looked under the truck and the rack look like it was gonna fall out so i put energy suspension rack bushings in and made a world of difference!!! Once i finally got the coil-overs on i realized I needed the camburg uca to correct caster and get some more travel out of it. since i was doing all that i figured why not do the gussets to so I ended up

I have not got a chance to really go wheel it, but i did get a chance to get a little flexing in!

Nice rides man! Question on the brake rebuild kits. Where did you find them, how difficult were they to install, and what are the part numbers if you still have them?

The rebuild is super easy! Depending on how good you are with your hands! The part number for it is-04479-0c020 and it is a s13we cylinder kit.. Even though the big brakes are 13wl it works great cuz that's what I used! I bought them from Toyota along with the rotors. I buy so much from Toyota, I made friends with the parts manager, so they give me whole sale price!

And the 7 was spray painted on me, my truck, and my buddy's truck at the 12 hours of Sebring 6 years ago and ever since then I'm number 7 and I figured I need my new 4unner to be "my 4runner"!

Thanks man, you're a big help on this. I put my calipers on straight from the junkyard and I probably shouldn't have because they weren't in the best condition. Also, do the rebuild kits come with new pistons as well, or just the rubber boots?

madbomber08 it just comes with boots and metel rings to hold them on, and i just used super fine sand paper just to knock some of the rust off! the big thing about the rebuild is if the boots are ripped it will let water and mud in them. Then if you let it sit around they will siez and you will need a flat bed to get it home....trust me on that one, bin there before..... so I hoped you checked them because it will work fine for a wile and then one day it just gonna start giving you problems! im all about preventative maintenance!

guess I should do a little update on my truck! I bumped into an old friend and started talking tires, long story short, I bought his old set of dakota mt with 2 at half tread and the other 2 at less then half for 150 bucks for all 4! so I will hold off on buying a new set of tires for a wile.

Then a couple weeks later sitting at the bar with my buddy (after a few beers) I bought his 2 lightforce 240 blitz from him for 150 bucks for both of them!

So I got all that on the other day and washed her!

of corse soon as I got the tires mounted I had to try them out!

Some new paint!!!

ever since I bought my truck the hood has always bothered me because it had lovebug damage and a lot of paint missing, and the rear quarter panel had a shitty bondo job! One of my buddys saw my new lights and immediately asked what I did with the old ones! he is a body guy, and had gave me a quoit on fixing all that before. so he said he would trade doing all that body work with me helping him(witch is a bouns for me because I love learning new things!), and me putting my old lights on his truck for him!
Just a fair warning for all of you that do body work this may be boring to you, but I am a mechanic and this is totally new to me so it was very exciting!

so we took off all we could

Sanded out all of the bad bondo job

and fixed it right!
sanded down all the chips and primed it

wet sanded everything smooth, and got ready to paint!

painted with no clear yet

clear coat, wet sand and polish

the hood is dusty in this pic but paint looks good!

and recently I learned about plasti dip(how amazing it is) so i order antique gold.they just got this paint in a few days ago!

I had a bunch left over

now that I had some parts that looked like fresh paint(because they were) I had to polish the rest of the truck to make it look the same! so they told me what to get and how to do it!!

a hole weekend spent on that and next thing you know you have this

Looks incredible! I like the gold on the wheels and the stripe through the center of the grille, nice touch for sure. Who's the chick in post #1?

Interesting turn of events on friday! my buddy asked if i want to buy his tundra and of course with out thinking about it i said no! then i saw him drive buy and he told me what he wanted for it so i ran to the bank and how I have an 02 tundra to add to the collection
