5th Gen Brake Swap Hardware Question

My new pair of front calipers have one set of brake hardware from a 5th gen, and also a set of hardware from a 5th gen.



Does it matter which set up I use?

I'd use the set on the right. It can't hurt to use both retaining (anti rattle / pad separator) springs.

Found this:

The clips are designed to push the pad away from the rotor. This can keep the brakes cooler, reduce noise and extend the life of the pad.

I guess you need another anti-rattling spring. I know the stock 4th gen setup has 2 on each front caliper.

I had the same thing the calipers came with 2 springs and the pads only came with one. I threw the hardware that came with the pads in the junk draw.
