5th Gen Calibrate NAV for heading always up

So, my NAV system often has me moving from left to right or even down. The Lowrance on my boat allows me to set "heading Always Up" so that your not looking at an arrow pointing behind you. It spins the map so your moving from the bottom of the screen to the top at all times. Is this possible on our trucks? I found a calibration screen but that didn't seem to do much.

Hit the button in the upper left of the nav screen

since we're on this topic. its 2017, why is toyota's navi/head unit so shitty.

i had a 2011 acura tsx and it had a better navigation system in it.

but yes. you click on the compass.

Remove the head unit and put in a new gyro-driven kit (you can get them from Crutchfield here) that will rotate your nav screen according to your heading (read from the rear view mirror), so your nav screen is always "forward facing" and "north facing" at the same time. Very simple installation, it's not too costly, although it might cause your wheels to rub in reverse.
