Just looking at pricing on their website at most of the "Big Brakes" setups they offer at present the price will most likely be somewhere around $1200 and up depending on if they're offering a sale or not.

Add mine to the list of frozen 5th gens. My Rockauto Centric is frozen on the passenger side. Noticed a dip in MPGs and quicker deceleration and found the dreaded issue upon inspection. Pretty sure I'm well outside their 90 day, 3000 mile warranty as these went on in Fall 2016. Lol.
Very disappointing but somewhat expected after hearing of the other issues. Need to research my options.

That sucks.. I'm installing some now. I guess I won't have any expectations for them lasting...

Yup, calipers. It was all good news back when I got mine as not many had them long enough for problems to develop. Either way, I'm not sure what else is out there for a reasonable price, at least not anything thats reliable.

It's for sure centric calipers. I'm just now replacing frozen centric 13wa calipers with centric 14wa calipers. With the multiple reports of frozen centric calipers now and my past centric calipers lasting less then 3 years, I have no expectations of these lasting either.... (all from rockauto)

Same situation here...
I've got some considerable steering wheel vibration going on right now and believe my driver side front caliper has frozen (also notice a considerable amount of heat from it). So I need to make a change, but I'm not sure if I should go the 5th generation route or just replace with 4th generation parts.
For those that have made this 5th generation jump, how many of had problems? Would I be better off to go with a 'lifetime warranty' replacement? What brand is the most reliable if Centric is giving people issues?
For what its worth, I've got an '04 SR5 V6 - 17 inch rims.

Got a friend who is willing to help but he has only one day in the next few months where he assist, so I need to have all my parts ordered by then. Not to mention my brakes just need replacing in general.
Really hoping to make this the last major upgrade I have for the next few years before I'll probably buy a new 6th gen.

I would do this if it was in the 1200-1400 range. It would be worth it....There is someone on the 4th gen facebook group that did Brembo's and says he will offer as a kit but haven't heard anything in a month or so.

Was it the front or rear calipers?
If it was the rear, are your calipers the 142 series (painted) or 141 series (non-painted).
If it was 141, did you paint the caliper yourself?
Did you lube all the appropriate parts during installation?
What kind of rust/dirt build up is there around the piston area?

I did no supplemental lubing prior to install. They were 141 series which I painted.
Nobody in alaska had replacement 5th gen calipers. Napa had Eclipse 4th gen calipers so I am back to stock 4th gen calipers with 5th gen rotors. Doing the install Monday and adding the SS lines that have been sitting in my garage for 18 months.
With a lifetime warranty, I really don't care about caliper differences. I still get the benefit of the beefier rotor. The Napa ones are also pre-painted which is a plus.
I have some Permetex caliper lube which I may use on the pistons.

Well 4th gen 13WH do not fit over the 5th gen rotors. Had to return them to Napa and order the 14WB calipers from Michigan. They should be here by this weekend. Truck is out of commission until then.
The POS Centric rebuild had THREE frozen pistons. Luckily I caught it early enough that the pads aren’t unevenly worn; however, they were dragging enough to cause steering wheel shake. I hope I did not warp the rotor....anyone have any experience? The 4th gen rotors warp like pancakes but the 5th gens are certainly more beefy.

I'm debating forking out the money for new oem 5th gen calipers/rotors/pads due to some of the issues people are now having with centric.
Is there anywhere to send the cores and get at least a little money for them? I'm guessing a lot of companies out there, including Centric, use these for rebuilds.
