I always wanted a Power Wheels when I was a kid but my parents wouldn't get us one (even though they could afford it). The closest we got was a Little Tikes Sport Racer. Front-wheel-drive and steered with the rear. We wore flat spots in the front wheels once we figured out we could drift it with the front drive tires locked. It was also really hard to get going cause all the weight was in the back so you'd spin the front tires a lot trying to get traction.

Awesome!....I remember those! I always wanted a Knight Rider Big Wheel...got the plain red race car one instead. Did the same wearing the plastic wheels flat and putting holes in them that would collect any stones/pebbles and/or water from the street...LOL, riding it felt like constantly running over speed bumps!

My first wheeled toy was an old bike my dad salvaged off the trash truck. He fixed it up, painted it and gave it to me for Christmas. It was a kid's bike and i rode it until my knees almost touched the ground! That started a love affair with bikes that continues to this day. Last Christmas my wife got me a new bike! Christmas is cool like that.
 
We are going to visit family in Colorado and Northern New Mexico. Last year we forged through snow, ic and a white out in a VW Tiguan. This time I got the T4R. Just installed Rigid SAE fogs and this week end will clean and ready.

I have some extended family that just gives people cash for Christmas. Hoping I get enough to finish what I need to save to get sliders.

First of all - a big thanks to Greg (1Engineer) and all others behind the scenes that make this a great place to play, contribute and learn. I have learned a lot over the last few years and greatly appreciate the resources here.

For Christmas the wife and I are staying home as the kids and grandkids are scattered all over. We will be making a road trip out West again, in early 2017, to visit family and friends like we did last yr.

We hope all here have a happy and safe Holiday and New Year.
 
Just got back from taking 3 of the grand kids to Disney world and Legoland. Was hoping to spend my Xmas break adding dynamat to the rear of the truck when I'm installing the Goose Gear floor. Wife then got me a National Luna dual battery system and told me we're flying back to VA to spend Xmas with the 3 boys and their families.

So both very happy and very annoyed. At least the master bathroom and closet should finally be finished when we get back home! Much to be thankful for, but will be glad when the year is over and things settle down again.

Now just need to figure out when I get to install my goodies!

As a few others previously did, I would also like to express my gratitude to the entire T4R.org crew who help to keep this forum rolling in a positive direction and contribute to a true wealth of information! I have learned much browsing countless threads here and hope to meet some local forum members after the holidays and have some fun on the trails.

I got into a 4Runner this year sooner than planned due to one of my vehicles getting totaled in March. I can’t say that event was a blessing but I am of course thankful be healthy afterward and do love my 4Runner. I look forward to traveling many miles with it the years ahead.

A Three Foot bear

Merry Christmas everyone. Betty went to the B.C. Government liquor store yesterday to stock up for Christmas and Boxing Day. She also bought two of the little 10-12 inch high stuffed bears that they sell to raise money for charities and provide presents to needy children. Indeed we have quite a collection of those bears over the years. Then, much to her surprise, the store told Betty she had also won one of the two 3 foot high stuffed bears they give to people who buy the little bears. So Betty belted it into the passenger seat and drove home. It is a real beauty and now sits in the rocking chair in the library to make sure all those little bears behave. Me and my girlfriend did Christmas early as we went to Florida to see my family and my gift was "way to big to bring". I came home from work to find she tried to hid a new 2500 Arb awning by the tree. Now I just need my gobi to come in so I can mount her up.

Merry Christmas everyone, still trying to decide what I want, I know last minute. We've had some extended family healthy issues distracting us. I'm getting my wife a bathroom renovation after delaying it as long as I could, she'll be happy for sure. Santa is bringing the kids all kinds of interesting stuff I can't wait to play with!
