So far mostly just general maintenance but getting to use a real garage w/ lift back home vs. working on the ground in an apartment is the best gift this year.
*Changed oil on difs, transfer case and engine
*New air filters (engine and cabin)
*Greased all suspension components and lubricated the spare tire mount
*Rotated tires
*Removed and cleaned skids, removed a mangled bolt and will be replacing with new hardware tomorrow when stores open
Upgrades
*Installed sound deadening material in passenger front door and a new speaker......very impressed with the results doors now close with a solid thud, I have a good before and after sound clip I will try to upload at some point. Going to do the remaining doors tomorrow. If there is left over material I may do the firewall or rear cargo area but brief research showed diminishing returns and at the end of the day its still a 4runner with mud tires, I just wanted the noise a bit more managed and I think this will get me there plus some
*Installed the hood liner from the limited - I failed here and was thinking this was a heavy piece of insulation that might make a small (even if very very minor) difference in hood movement at highway speeds.....yea not a chance it only weighs a few ounces but for the price I paid I am leaving it in (looks nice)
To come later this week (the real fun)
*Winch
*Slimline Bumper
*Front spot lights
*HO alternator
*More minor maintenance (grease door hinges/latches, maybe other)
Hope you all had a great holiday with family & friends which is by far more important then what gifts are received
