5th Gen custom bump stops. need some input

GF took delivery of these, while I'm gone. Got so many confused questions asking what they were. They look great though! Can't wait to get them installed. When can we expect rears" ;) I have a 2.5" Dobinson spring that needs some bump stops.

"No Baby they are for the truck, I swear"

.

I know! I know!! I'm feeling the pressure! I get the hint, lol

I'm just about done with them 4 - 5 weeks until they will be available on my website. I will however start taking orders for beta test guys to run my final production model. I like to get a few sets out to be abused in different ways then I can think of myself.

Great, looking forward to it.

A dedication to bump stops testing ...

Post some pictures of them!

:ban:

Seriously??

Im surprised you stopped back by. I thank you for taking notice of my high quality products at a fair price. I am honored to be on your radar. I'm sure it will offer further credence to the value I offer.

Have some class my man. There is plenty of room in the world for competition. Have some confidence in your product, if its so good then I'll never make a sale...

I know I have the confidence in my product and so do my customers.:first:

Your just a employee for a huge corporation. Do you take pride in taking sales from a small forum member trying to make a small American based company? :usa2:

leave me alone man, and go push your big corporate sales on the chain stores. I'm nobody worth wasting your time with trying to take a single sale at a time.

I do appreciate the recognition, Just feel you could have a little more tact the second time around...

Don't worry man, we got your back!!! I'd rather support the little guy making a great product at a reasonable price. Can't wait to get the rears as well.
timbren-industries you lost my sale for your overpriced rubber and petty behavior

I replaced my tie rods the other day (4th gen) and took out my front sway bar at the same time. That in combination with the new stops, and my front end -- even with just 5100s -- is BUTTERY! I haven't been off road, but my road to work has a couple of good rough patches and dips at about 50mph. No more chattery jolt feeling.

Really digging it and can't wait to try out the rears!

Super happy with what Plastics guy has made here. Very affordable, very clean, and strong professional build. Sometimes you don't know what you're going to get, but much like a lot of the smaller businesses on here this is a quality product.

Were only a few on the market I were interested in, and definitely wasn't paying $500 for a set of Timbren. Not saying their quality isn't good or anything of that nature, but for a fraction of the cost I feel I've got something just as good, if not better, and it went towards someone like us 'regular folk.'

They're the cleanest thing on the underbody right now, but that'll change very soon. Only have been able to test them on regular roads, but the sections with dips are 100% smoother. Could feel the difference immediately.

Really disappointed with how Timbren has been acting in this thread. Trying to take away from the business man is very sad. Any chance of me buying a product of theirs has gone out the window.

That’s Fn nonsense!

Hey guys, I designed custom front bump stops for 3rd gen 4runners that replace the OEM bump stop. They eliminate hard bottom outs and keep the truck more stable at higher speeds by obsorbing the impact opposed to the hard bottom out of the OEM bumps. I have been asked numerous times if I have any plans on making 5th gen bumps and here I am...

I am now working on a new design for the 5th gen 4runner and want to hear what you guys think.

This particular prototype is dual durometer rubber. It has a 3/16" steel base with a firm rubber mid-body and a soft rubber on top to deaden the initial impact during compression. This bump stop is 3/4" taller than OEM but will collapse to the same height as OEM under high compression before ultimately bottoming out.

Thanks for any thoughts and input!
Do these come with a lifetime warranty?

We have several dealers and distributors worldwide that can help anyone looking for some Bumpstops!

I think they just wanted to see some pics of bumpstops installed lol no big deal. Nothing wrong with competition either. Just embrace it. Not sure whats triggering everyone lol.

Because timbren has been trolling and following along this thread ever since it was made. Inserting comments when they feel. See quote above along with the one that was deleted. It's obvious they are trying to instigate something with the little guy.

And now it's apparent that the entire team4runner ( fargo4x4 aren't you part of this?) instalander crew is out in full force sticking up for their sponsor. We get it, you get free stuff from Timbren. I could still buy 4 sets from Plastics guy for the cost of one pair timbren "active" off-road bumpstop. I think I'll stick with the cheaper option here for a piece of rubber.

trolling seems a bit dramatic lol why do people online get triggered so easy today smh they asked to see pics and (from what i can tell) before that someone said

and they corrected them and said their dealers sell them. lol

And if you mean do i follow Team4runner on instagram and have a 4runner lol then yes obviously lol everyone here does therefore i guess we are all team4runner.

Your reaction is clearly showing your obviously bias to your little buddy...

When it comes to the price being cheap thats not really a selling point for some. Its more of a red flag in some cases. The product looks pretty cool the question im now wondering is... is it the same (because of your reaction mostly). And team4runner asked is the warranty the same...

Less complaining and more answering would lead to a productive conversation... ;)

Nope, not my little buddy. Never met the man or talked to him other than buying his bumpstops. Better than having bias and obligation towards a big brother sponsors I guess.

I'll agree with you about people online being triggered so easily nowadays. It's kind of like that one time everyone on the internet was so triggered about someone drawing on a rock.
