Just a note for anyone - like me - that though their LCA bushings might be the culprit behind these noises; check in to your CV's as well.
I'm certain the Clinking and clanking and popping I was hearing when cranking the wheel hard to pull in to a driveway or backing in to a parking spot, is the same as several in this thread have been hearing. While under the vehicle to replace the LCA bushings last week, my tech noticed that there was play in the CV axles(Reman Units, thought I'd try them out - results are about as I expected

).
Since they were under warrantee, I had them both replaced and the noises are 100% gone. I honestly should have clued in to this a lot sooner, since the noises only started a short time after I had my CV's replaced. And yeah, I'll be saving for some OEM units or look in to RCV options.
As for the LCA bushings, while we had them out, we noticed that there was some surface cracking and minimal play, but that they were far from "shot", so I chose to keep them in until I get the LCA's replaced.
