5th Gen Pads an Rotors cost

Hi there,

Time for pads and rotors on my '22 4runner SR5 Premium. I'm in the Rochester NY area, and all the dealers seem to want about $1100 - $1200 for the job (fronts and rears) which seems excessive. Has anyone had this some recently?
I'm trying to find a good independent shop to get a quote to compare.

Sounds right for dealership quote.

Had my 2018 TRD ORP done last summer and came in just under $1200, an hour west of Boston.

I did buy all the parts, shims, clips and even greases with the intention of doing it myself but then came time constraints. And I wanted to be sure I got the OEM pads (blue) and not the cheaper standard off the dealer shelf ones.

$575 and change for the labor. Was happy to see when I checked all the new bits and pieces and even grease was used.

Thanks! I would like the OEM pads as well or at least an equivalent if there is such a thing in the aftermarket selections.

This is probably the best way to get a decent price on a dealer brake job, even if you don’t really plan on doing it yourself.
Use a dealer like Genuine Toyota Parts and Accessories: Official Online Store Lewis Toyota and you can get a decent discount and free shipping.

You’re gonna need to request the specific part number for the OEM pads to be sure you get them. SOP is to use the AZ kits.

Txc500 - that doesn't sound too bad. I had the same job done on my Tundra and it was about 1K about 18 months ago. BTW I grew up in the Rochester area ; Brighton actually!
