5th gen shocks and springs into a 4th gen?

Can anyone answer with certainty if stock shocks and springs from a 5th gen trail edition will fit a 4th gen sport edition? Thanks

Never mind I just re-read the below thread which I found confusing. Noticed the member who mentioned nosedive wondered if he added an armored bumper and realized no factory 5th gen front suspension would be heavy enough for a 4th with a V8. If I'm thinking correctly anyway.

I did the swap and I have a V8. No nose dive. Actually leveled out a little. Same exact mod as later model FJ. I've done the modification twice now; FJ TRD suspension on my 2005 with V8, and now 4Runner TRD suspension on my 2008, also with a V8.

More benefit from a FJ swap

due to the height and higher spring rate in comparison to the 5th gen. Unless its the TRD swap that SA mentioned..
