5th Gen shudders round 1500 rpm under load ..

Changed plugs , ruled out coil pack , no codes .. Feels more like vibration ... Only under load , between 1350 n 1700 RPM then goes away and only while moving ... Totally pisses me off , YOTA faithful here ..

I will tinker around but I have no overdrive switch and only one drive spot ... Unless I throw shifter to the left n manually switch .. Ty

My 4th gen does the same thing but barely noticeable. If fact my wife has never noticed it. If I feel it, I shift to 4th. It does seem more prominent the older it gets.

My 5th Gen has this odd (to me) sensation in D around 36, 37, 38 mph. It will shift up if I'm accelerating, or when coasting down, right at this 36-37 mph range, it wants to shift down into 4th. Sometimes, steady-state, around these speeds, it hunts 5-4-5-4 , causing this odd sensation.

I found it annoying, so I always drive in S-4 around town, under 40 mph. This just keeps it from hunting. Easy-peasey, rice-and-cheesey.

"Resolve issue"? It's just the way the tranny is programmed. It shifts up early for mileage. This has worked for me for 2 years.

sounds like the exact same thing i experienced in my lexus.. it was the torque converter. i would highly suggest replacing that
