5th gen skids on 4th gen

There was another thread about this recently, but asfaik the guy never updated whether he got it to fit.

Which probably means he tried and failed. I wouldn’t hold my breath for it fitting.

I have a 4th gen and a 5th gen. It doesn't fit. I warned the guy on the other thread and all I got was a guy telling me to stop being so negative. At the end of the day, I was being realistic, not negative lol. It never hurts to try though, that's how we learn new tips and tricks.

Well I figured as much haha maybe a company will make a similar looking plate for the 4th gens you never know!

Don’t know what you are looking for specifically but the Tacoma ARB skid plate fits the 4th gens, at least ones with a V8. I have it on mine. Here’s the part number ARB-5421100. No modification needed.

I was originally looking at this option because it is tough to find a non rusted out 4th gen factory skid these days. Once the RCI group buy came through though, I just bit the bullet and went with real skids. I opted for aluminum since I’m not a hardcore off-roader to save weight, and I’ll never have to be concerned about rust either.
