I am in Moab right now and saw two Trails, one in Arches and one in town today. Also saw a sweet lifted camo 1st gen with the top off. But the 4Runner capital of the world is Colorado. Every other car in Buena Vista and Salida was a 4Runner, and up in Upper Colorado River territory I spotted a lifted green 1st gen with an inner tube on the spare tire mount. Hilarious and appropriate...it was parked at Rancho del Rio.
Ill agree w/ the CO comment. Was up near Breckenridge for a week earlier this summer, and I have never seen so many in my entire life, as I did in that week. Lots of 4th gens, but as you said, it was literally every other vehicle.
Just got back from Yellowstone NP and the 2014s are swarming up there. I'm guessing most of them were rentals as the majority had Utah tags. Only saw a few 2010-13 models, and just one was a TE (Salsa Red w/California plates) that was in the Canyon Village parking lot. Anyone else there during the past two weeks?
Spotted this White TE in downtown Boulder a couple weeks ago.
Saw a Salsa Red SR5? with Limited Wheels on Medano Pass while I was in CO.
Also saw a Mag Grey TE in Derby, KS yesterday afternoon.
Finally, Colorado shows up on the spotted thread and it's not me. I drive everywhere I never see anyone on the thread. Cmon Colorado, drive more.
When I was in CO, you would only spot me in places that had no cell reception..... and the mall (especially Flatirons during the Christmas season!) Or you'd find me near Pearl Street in the spring and summer. CU has some great looking scenery when spring dresses come out.
