5th Gen Spotted Thread

Lol. Just finishing up a 5,200 mi road trip. I didn't see any 4runners worthy of mention here and apparently no one saw me either. Lol

I am in Moab right now and saw two Trails, one in Arches and one in town today. Also saw a sweet lifted camo 1st gen with the top off. But the 4Runner capital of the world is Colorado. Every other car in Buena Vista and Salida was a 4Runner, and up in Upper Colorado River territory I spotted a lifted green 1st gen with an inner tube on the spare tire mount. Hilarious and appropriate...it was parked at Rancho del Rio.

Ill agree w/ the CO comment. Was up near Breckenridge for a week earlier this summer, and I have never seen so many in my entire life, as I did in that week. Lots of 4th gens, but as you said, it was literally every other vehicle.

Yeah I never post when I see 4runners, I'd be posting daily I pass so many. Heck there are at least six 2014's and 10+ 2010-2013's in my work parking lot alone.

I saw exactly one stock SR5 5th gen when I was in Moab a couple months ago, first vehicle I saw after crossing the state line was a 5th gen 4runner.

CO represents when it comes to 4Runners.

That's funny, because when I was in Breck last summer I didn't see one other Trail Edition. I thought I would at least see a handful of them. I don't even really remember seeing that many 4Runners overall. Only Trail Edition I remember seeing on the whole trip was a salsa red 2010-'13 in Santa Fe.

I returned home Saturday from a 3500 mile road trip to ND and back. I think ND has the lowest number of 4Runners. I only saw two, total, while I was there. CO probably has the most. They were all over. Spent a few days in and around Breckenridge and saw a bunch of 4runners. Mostly stock but I did see a few 4th and 3rd gens that were modded.

Want to see 2014s?

Just got back from Yellowstone NP and the 2014s are swarming up there. I'm guessing most of them were rentals as the majority had Utah tags. Only saw a few 2010-13 models, and just one was a TE (Salsa Red w/California plates) that was in the Canyon Village parking lot. Anyone else there during the past two weeks?

Most likely rentals. I was skiing JH in March, our rental and the whole fleet from Dollar(?) were 2014 SR5s

Spotted a 10-13 sr5 BP with roof rack,ladder,14 tail lights,xd addicts(blk) at Ralph's parking lot in torrance off of Carson street.

Saw a 10-13 TE, silver with a Gobi rack, ladder, and awning rolling through my apartment complex in Fairfax, VA - I think the truck had New Mexico Tags.

Spotted in South Tampa

Saw a 5th gen mag grey turning onto Bay Vista off South Dale Mabry last night around 5. Didn't get a real long look at it but it had black wheels, aftermarket tires and appeared lifted. Nice rig, I almost never see any but stock 5th gen T4Rs.

Saw this Salsa Red 5th Gen today at Home Depot on Airport Way in Portland. Looked like Bilsteins 5100's with silver lift springs in front. It was rocking Ultra Gauntlets wrapped with Duratracs. Are you on here?

Finally, Colorado shows up on the spotted thread and it's not me. I drive everywhere I never see anyone on the thread. Cmon Colorado, drive more.

When I was in CO, you would only spot me in places that had no cell reception..... and the mall (especially Flatirons during the Christmas season!) Or you'd find me near Pearl Street in the spring and summer. CU has some great looking scenery when spring dresses come out.

You sir are correct. I drive to CU for my masters degree after work. Summer classes are my favorite.

Mag Grey 2010-2013 with full roof rack with ladder and a bunch of stickers on the fairing. Looked like a Gobi. Driving towards the beach on the James Island Connector in Charleston.
