5th Gen SR5 - Amplify only front speakers?

Hey guys, I've already caught the mod bug for my new to me 2010 SR5. I had a sub set up in my last car (GMC Envoy XL with Kicker ZR240 bridged to output around 500 W to a pair of old school Sony ES 12's), but don't want to fit that massive box in my 4Runner. So that leaves me with the ZR240 amp just waiting to be used.

If I replaced the crossover module on the amp it will function full range and give me 60W x 2. I know the party mode messes with the wiring a bit on the SR5s, so would it be possible to amplify just the front set of speakers? And if so, would you even recommend it or is it just a bad idea?

What got me thinking about it is the post in the 5th Gen forum about the Focal component set. I've heard a lot of good things about Focals, and the fact that it has actual 6x9 woofers makes me think I might be able to get away with not having a sub and still get great sound without serious mods (I'm spending all my money on a lift and tires).

As someone who ran subs, you are already aware that you will not get the full sound you crave without a sub.
You can amplify just the fronts if you want. The output from the head unit is a standard 4 channel, so you would wire into the front channels.

It will sound better. The front tweeter and 6x9's leave a lot to be desired. I have only upgraded the front speakers and added a sub. I will eventually change out the rears, but it doesn't sound bad for now.
