5th Gen SR5 stock Wheel Specs?

Sorry I know wheel offset and backspacing has been brought up many times, but let me say in my own defense, I do understand the basics of offset & backspacing. What seems to be incredibly hard to find even after calling the dealership and the Tire Rack, is my actual specs for wheel width, offset, and back spacing for the stock SR5 17" alloy...?

The reason I ask is that before I shop around for an after market wheel, I really need to know what I'm starting with so I make sure I purchase a wheel that results in the right fitment and appearance.

Again, sorry if this has been asked... i'm not looking for an offset chart, I just need to confirm the Specs for the:
-Wheel width
-Wheel offset
-Wheel backspacing

(Can you believe no one at the dealership knew this?) I could measure it myself but I'd have to take a wheel off and I was hoping it would be easier to get a quick answer.....

I owned a set back in 2010 and measured them myself
2010 SR5 wheels
-Wheel width=7"
-Wheel offset= +12
-Wheel backspacing= 4.5"

Oh Crap, are the wheel specs for the 2011 different from the 2010, or did I just find bad info during my research? The specs I have for the 2011 SR5 stock wheel are as follows:

29.6 lb weight
17" dia
7.5" width
4.5" backspace
30mm Offset
6x139.7mm(5.5") bolt pattern

Probably should have just measured them myself when the shop had them off for rotation the other day, but wasn't thinking of it then.

Thanks Harper7, hey I forgot to remind on the post that I have a 2013... but from the photos it looks like the SR5 wheel did not change from 2010 to 2013, is this a good assumption?

Thx Harper. Can't remember off hand where all the info came from, just remember it was from a few different sources. I think there may be some FJ(width) specs mixed in there. Not sure where the 30mm offset came from.

I'm pretty sure the TE and FJ wheels which are nearly identical are both 7.5". Harper's specs on the SR5 wheels are correct though. I'm not sure about the 30mm offset... That part I think is wrong for both wheels.

So I did a quick search on the 5th Gen SR5 wheel part#, this is one of a few matching results which show the official offset as +15mm which pretty much matches Harper's hand measurement of 12mm.
None mention the backspacing, but that is generally agreed upon by everyone to be 4.5", and again hand measured by Harper.

So, 7" width, +12-15mm offset and 4.5" backspacing.

Most of the shops you talk to will say "yeah I think it will fit.. or it shouldn't be a problem..." but of course you dont want to go through all the pain of changing wheels & tires to find out how it fits on the vehicle; its like Pelosi saying "we have to pass the bill to find out what's in it" Ha
Anyway, I'm looking at a new aftermarket wheel that's 17 x 8.5 with a -12mm offset. by my calculation, going from +12 to -12 is a change of 24mm, and:
24mm = about 1 inch, plus half of the 1.5" increase in wheel width = 1.75 inches total; this should be the amount of distance the outer edge of my new wheel will move outwards in the wheel well. I hope the math is right...

If the new wheels truly have a -12mm offset, this seems to indicate you could have some interference problems even if you're still running 265/70's

"Package will stick out 27 mm (1.1'') farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset."

Thanks yes I did find that rims-n-tires sizing tool, that thing is really handy. As for interference, i know its something to keep in mind but looking at the change, i'm not sure what it could interfere with... since it is moving away from the rotor and suspension, i guess the only thing I could possibly get closer to would be the OEM fender flares. but there's so much clearance there already, it doesn't seem like it would be a problem...

Those wheels would fit and your calculations are correct!

Thanks guys, I'm fired up about the new wheels coming... Next step will be to sell the OEM SR5 alloys, I'll have to figure out what they're worth. Just for the heck of it I called the dealership parts dept and they said just one of those alloys is like $370!!
Crazy, though I know you can't get near that price used probably....

According to this tool the package ( tire ) will only move out 1" using the same size tire.

BS and Offset move the wheel out, not the width of the rim.

Well... You're correct but to be more specific: going from a stock positive offset to less or in my case, a negative offset will move the wheel out wards from the rotor. However, wheel width is also a factor especially when we found the stock wheel is only 7" wide and I went to an 8.5" wheel, so half of that extra 1.5" adds to the 24mm offset change.
At any rate, I've had the new wheels for many months now and very happy with them. I did have a small amount of rubbing which I fixed by removing the small stock mudflap.

So I believe the outer edge of the rim technically moved outwards 1.7"" total. The BFGs matched the stock size but have a slightly more aggressive tread and of course moving them out creates the illusion they're a little bigger.

I thought the same until spending some time on this site, it says .9".., they have a point the 265 shouldn't get any wider, but I'm sure it looks it with 8.5"
