Toyota USA needs to make our SR5's like this, the limited should be the only one fully painted, the cheapest SR5 needs these black fenders!

Let me jump in with this "baseline" picture of my stock 4Runner.

We'll see where my brain (and finances) takes the whole "Mod Train" over the next few months.

(and pending the blessing of the wife - since she did just produce a new son for us earlier this month, I shan't piss her off too much)

Nicely done. How much did it cost to do the switch from SR5 trim to Trail trim?

SeattleMike, conversion cost about $2500.00 in parts, paint, and my own elbow grease.

How did your runner do in the sand? I made a flag holder and was planning on taking mine out to the Little Sahara here in Oklahoma. Have been there on ATV hundreds of times.....run paddle tires. Just hardly ever see 4wd vehicles. Just curious. I dont want to spend the day digging myself out.

Picked up the TE a few hours ago.... very impressed! Only thing I didn't realize while test driving it was that it doesn't have auto headlights and memory seats. Not a huge deal, still very happy with the purchase! Was hoping to get to see the Taco.... but it was still on it's way. Hopefully still picking it up Thursday afternoon.

(Yes the dealer let us take this thing home haha. Not sure what I'm going to do with it....)

Thanks! Hopefully I'll be able to get some good "family pics" when we pick up the Taco.

Planning to order the Katzkin seats w/ heaters next week. On the lookout for a leather steering wheel but haven't found anything. Only other plans really are a TRD CAI, some other wheels/tires, and plastidipping the chrome on the dealer plate covers. I don't mind rocking the dealer plate covers... they treated us well and gave us a great deal. Just gotta black out all of the chrome parts haha

The 4runner did very well in the sand dunes. You just need to air down the tires to 15psi to 10 psi and she'll float over the sand in 4wd hi.
