5th Gen Wheels on 4th Gen

Hey Everyone -

After over a year of local Craigslist searching, I finally found a replacement wheel for the 4R. I know I could have picked them up sooner had I used fleabay,- but I wanted to stay local to check out the wheels prior to purchasing. I would have been satisfied with any FJ or 5th Generation 4R wheel - but I am extremely impressed with the appearance of the 5th Gen SR5 wheel. (sorry for the one sideways picture)

I kept the TPMS and the OE-sized tire. Slightly wider stance due to the changes in offset. In my opinion, this wheel somehow looks better on our generation than the current gen.

Hope these pics help anyone else decide if they are needing to swap out wheels. Now I need to figure out what to do with the corroding stock SE wheels....

Next up: 5100/FJ Springs. Time to ditch the XREAS.

$450 for the set. Local enough that I could drive to pick them up. Very excellent condition.

You said OE size; is that OE for the 5th gen or 4th? Didn't the 5th gens come with 70's compared with our 65's?

Good question that I failed to elaborate on - yes, the 5ths have 70-series. I only bought the wheels, so I mounted my existing 65-series along with the TPMS from the 2005 wheel. Therefore, I have 4 actively corroding 2005 Sport Edition wheels to unload.
