Any current 3rd gen owners considering a 5th gen? The addition of a 3rd row in the only vehicle with a sliding rear window is something i've been waiting for (not sure if 4th gen had it but not a fan of 4th gen).
does anyone buy a vehicle based strictly on 3rd rows? i think when i was a kid maybe that happened when my folks bought a 1985 mercury grand marquis station wagon. no 3rd row is usable really, but it is a nice option for short haul trips with kids.
Seriously though, you said in your first post: The addition of a 3rd row in the only vehicle with a sliding rear window is something i've been waiting for. That remark leads me to believe your 1st priority in the next vehicle you purchase is 3 rows of seating. If you need 3 rows then so be it. I just wouldn't buy a cramped SUV w/ 3 rows just b/c it's a 4Runner.
Hope you see how your remark lead me to this conclusion
