6112's Long term

I haven't found many long term reviews, and have noticed some interesting / not great changes in my 6112's and rear 5160/T12 combo. If anyone has some long term comments and wouldn't also mind sharing that would be great.

Recently I've noticed that my suspension, while awesome when I installed in the fall and all through the winter, has gotten very jittery. All little bumps and knocks on the road have a much larger impact, and the where as before it was smooth and controlled, it just seems to jitter all over (especially in rear). I've got about 7,000 km on them, so I think its safe to say they have settled.

Has anyone else had the issue with the jitteriness?

Additionally, I got the anti-rust spray from wheelers and sprayed all my shocks and coils when installed, and after one winter in Winnipeg (lots of bumps, snow, harsh cold, and salted roads) and I already have corrosion on all the coils. A reputable shop in Alberta (the Gear Shop) recommended I go with Fox coils and shocks due to their coatings and the protection against rust needed in Canada, and I didn't follow their advice, maybe I should have. That said the shock's don't have rust. So +1 for Bilstein there.

The jitteriness could be from a lot of things, like tire pressure, alignment, or worn bushings. You might want to check these items.

I have the 6112s with the 5160s and can say that Im about to completely gut the suspension and do it over again. I dont think these shocks are really meant to be lifted up much above 2 inches. I absolutely hate the rear with a passion but then again I have them stretched out pretty good at normal ride height.

Is it the fronts or the rears? I'd think the fronts would be designed to work with their intended adjustment range.

The fronts are are not as smooth as I hoped. They take speed tables at 35mph great but the little stuff like potholes and such dont feel the greatest. Especially in the rear. The ride is way better when I have the rear loaded down which doesnt happen all the time.
I will say this though, I cant blame it all on the shocks. I run 285/70/17 BFG MT/Rs so they probably dont ride as good as some less aggressive tires.

Im in the same boat it feels like. I have a friend that is trying to hook me up with some Fox Coilovers currently. If I cant get the Fox I am going to go to the Icon 2.5 extended with CDC.

I was thinking about going with the setup thinking that the 5100 rode pretty well. But now im leaning more towards the toytec boss kits and going with progressive set up
