64K+ Miles out of Michelin LTX AT2's!

For anyone wondering about the life of a Michelin tire, I bought a set of LTX AT2's before moving to upstate New York. I(2000 T4R Limited, 4WD) That was three years ago. I now have 64K+ miles on these tires and they probably have another 4K miles worth of safe and usable tread. These tires ride great, work well in the mud and snow and have no issues with balancing whatsoever. Only complaint is that they show signs of "hairline" dry rot on the sidewalls. I would highly recommend these tires. If you buy them, COSTCO and SAM's are the places with good pricing but COSTCO definitely has better service and warranty coverage. SAM's warranty service sucks.

My stock Michelin Cross Terrains went to 67k before I replaced them w BFGs, and still had tread left on them. They also experienced the dryrot cracks you spoke of, but could have easily went a few thousand more miles.....I was tired of waiting to wear them out, so I finally just went and got the BFGs I'd been waiting two years to get.

I would buy them again, and agree they are a good tire....just not for my lifted 4x4...maybe my 2wd Limited.
