My heater/AC/defrost selector switch was stuck, on my 2000 SR5.
- Toyota dealer wanted $1,300 + tax, for a new heater/fan plastic box
Sourced a mint part out of a MI auto wreckers, for $150, that came complete with the electric fan - the fan actuator doors & selector switch work perfect now.
So I called the local yota dealer for a fan bracket for the 3.4
He told me over 700 for the bracket and the pulley's and they all come together.
Is this not some BS or what.

Pretty sure the list price is $400 and maybe a little change. Rip off city.
For fun I called my local dealer yesterday for their price on an o2 sensor for my '98.
Amazon has it for $46.44 with prime shipping. The dealer wanted $165. Thanks but no thanks.
I did that with my Brothers 4runner, he has a cali emissions one, even with my employee discount it was over 100 bucks. I went to Denso and crossed the factory part number to denso and got it for 55 bucks on prime shipping lol. Once you slap a toyota logo on any denso part you get an instant 40% markup lol
Seems to me it's a little more (like 3x more) than a 40% markup.
What "fan bracket" are you referring to? Isn't the fan a single unit, that bolts to the water pump, with the wp/fan pulley sandwiched between the two?
I lost the books that hold my roof rack on and my local dealer wanted $9.73 each (there's 10). I said no thanks.
I was able to buy just the bracket Aisin brand through the local parts store. I think it was around $130.
Here is the OEM AISIN on Amazon Prime for $130. (Price on this goes up and down, I've seen it for less.

RockAuto has it for $110 plus shipping.
AISIN FBT004 Radiator Fan Clutch Bearing Bracket | RockAuto
GHARP57 speaketh truth, Toyota does not even show a p/n for JUST the fanbracket/bearing/flange, only the whole assembly out to the fan clutch.
MSRP $664 or Camelback $487.

Which is ridiculous....I replaced my fan clutch three years ago. If my bracket bearing goes, a dealer would make me buy another one.
