700lb. Coil Spring

So I just added a Warn semi hidden bumper and 10k winch and it’s very obvious my full OME lift with heavy front springs isn’t up for the job. Would the 700lb King springs be a direct fit for my current lift?

I have the same setup except I'm using the 885 med coils & it has no problem. Even if you're using cable on the winch, you haven't even reached the minimum recommended weight for the 887 heavy coils. There's gotta be something wrong there.

Others have experienced sagging with OME. Did you not experience any sagging?

This I cannot answer. But it was my understanding that 590lbs was close to factory weight. I do have a fellow 4Runner owner who has upgraded his suspension with 700# springs after SSO bumper/winch installation and is very happy with the ride quality.

The spring manufacturers can't seem to settle on a common measurement for use across the board so I can only relay what I do know. The website I bought from listed the OME's as +given weight over factory (My 885's claimed +110 back then). I knew I had added right at 130, so that's what I went with. My ride is still pretty much factory soft but maintains height up front.

I had Old man emu heavy coils upfront, also have full shrockworks bumper, 9000 winch, rci skids, sliders and the heavy ome struggle and sagged after 2 years, I was bottoming out hitting rocks all the time, I recently installed kings with 700# pound coil and still adjusting preload to find the sweet spot. But the ride is plush so smooth gotta add I put dirt kings lower control too. Even wife said it feels smoother and Quieter, running without sway bars it doesnt dip as much. I do believe the heavy old man emu are only 590# rated.
 
700 lbs springs is going to ride really rough i have a full bumper with a winch and steel skids and its still to much spring go with 650
 
I’m running 650lb springs (Bilstein 6112s) up front with lo-pro bumper, winch, and some misc things under the hood. 600lb springs weren’t enough and the nose dive came back. I think 700lb springs would be quite rough without a full bumper up front
 
I have 700# springs on my icons with hybrid bumper and winch. Aluminum skids and steel sliders. Rides great, no complaints.

I found that 650# coils weren't enough to carry my front end after I added my full aluminum bumper, winch (Synthetic line), and full aluminum skids. I've been on 700# coils for a while now and I think it rides very well, not overly harsh at all. I have found that most of the harshness on the front end comes from high load rated tires and or high inflation pressures.
 
I have 700 lbs springs for my coilovers from Toytec. Work great for me with the bumper/winch combo.

It's not plushy and soft, but it handles great.
 
I am surprised every day by my 600# springs. Crap load of extra weight and it does just fine for me. E rated tires are stiff on this truck, so I couldn't even imagine 700#. I guess it's a personal taste thing. I also checked on ride height for my set up after a couple of years for the springs to settle in, and it's right there where it needs to be, but is definitely on the edge. I could go to 650s to raise it a little and not be too harsh, but I'm cool with 600s so far.
 
Im currently on 700lb springs on an Icon CDCV setup and have about 230lb of extra weight hanging off the front axle. For 3" of lift I have only a few threads of preload. I just ordered a set of KING external ressie coilovers and shocks and paid Ben @ Filthy Motorsports to consult for a custom setup. He heavily recommended going down to a 650 spring with some preload vs 700 with very little preload. So im going to give that a shot

Exactly how I felt after I put my lowers on. On road manners were more fluid.

Could be in my head but I felt my setup has gotten smoother with this warmer weather compared to the Winter.
At .75" driver and .25" passenger that gave me about 2.5" of lift.
Recently tried 36psi a few weeks ago and that helped a ton.

I think if I send these over for a rebuild at some point I'd like to give 650lb coils a try.

Also, before I got the 700's I always thought I'd be limited in up travel due to them being so stiff.
I had my sway bar removed this trip and the springs didn't limit me at all.

I have the sway bar back on though. Driving back from Austin to Houston, didn't like the feel of no sway bar with crosswinds even with the 700's.
