OK so my last thread got deleted by mistake so I am dropping off my 4runner with a friend this weekend for the following work:

1. Mount and balance 4 NTG's and get an alignment
2. Replace gatorback serpentine belt with new one. Original one replaced at 40k with Gatorback belt.
3. Front and rear brake pads with OEM pads.
4. Brake fluid.

Optional based on inspection:

5. Coolant Flush.
6. Lube propellor shaft and tighten propeller shaft bolt.
Question:
7. Front and rear differential oil
8. Transfer case oil

1. I had Denso Iriduims installed at 40k. I should be ok until 140k correct?
2. Tranny flush at 60k. I should be ok until 120k correct?
3. Fuel filter done at 60k. Should be ok until 120k correct?
4. Anything I should expect at 100k assuming I still have the 4 runner? Timing Belt (chain) and waterpump? Thanks.

Answer based on '04 SE V6, is that correct?

2. Replace gatorback serpentine belt with new one. Original one replaced at 40k with Gatorback belt.
3. Front and rear brake pads with OEM pads.
4. Brake fluid.

Optional based on inspection:

5. Coolant Flush. Yes based on years not miles. I'd do it.
6. Lube propellor shaft and tighten propeller shaft bolt. Yes. You're already dirty and it's very close to free. See sticky in maint section for zerk location. R32 (IIRC) recently did a good thread on greasing too.
Question:
7. Front and rear differential oil Yes. Good thread linked in the Maint sticky about servicing transmissions.
8. Transfer case oil Same answer as 7.

1. I had Denso Iriduims installed at 40k. I should be ok until 140k correct? I might go to 140k but in my anal retentiveness I'd probably pull them out 3-4 years from install year/month. I worry about plugs seizing in.
2. Tranny flush at 60k. I should be ok until 120k correct? Yes.
3. Fuel filter done at 60k. Should be ok until 120k correct? At least 120k...
4. Anything I should expect at 100k assuming I still have the 4 runner? Timing Belt (chain) and waterpump? With a V6 nothing to worry about yet. If you wanted to do a water pump, idlers, fan-clutch etc at 130-140k that might be a good idea. The V6 timing chain will last as long as the vehicle usually. Thanks.

where did you find your fuel filter at? can't seem to locate mine anywhere.

What trans fluid did you use? I have 2004 4runner v-6 and looking to change only the fluid. Thanks

Toyota Type IV fluid if you have a dipstick under the hood. If not, then you have the "sealed" transmission and that one uses Toyota WS fluid. The sealed transmission can be flushed, but the procedure is more involved.
