84 4runner?

I recently bought a 1984 4Runner and I was planning on rebuilding the engine. When we pulled the engine we noticed a crack in the block. I bought a head that worked after 8/84. After 8/84 they starting using flat top pistons instead of pop up pistons. Therefore my '84 block will not bolt up to the 8/84 head. My question is If I get an '85 block will everything off my '84 block bolt up?

After 8/84 the block and head both changed, so an 85 block should work. Check LC Engineering's site, they have some info on differences.
