84-88 crew cab?

I was up in Big Bear last week n saw a 'crew cab' p/up except it wasn't a 4door. Also the rear seat area had a higher roof line. Anyone know who did these conversions n how many were produced? I would love to add one to my stable!

its called a custom cab, as for who's doing them still... I dont think anyone is still doing them.

Yup, it's a custom cab. Toyota made them for a few years and didn't make very many.

Thank you SVdude for the pic. That is exactly what i saw 'cept it was plain white w/ stock steelies on it. From what i could find out so far they were produced by an rv company n sold new at dealerships. They also did some 79-83s mostly 2wds that are extremely rare.

They even did a handful of 22rte versions that are even more rare. I wouldn't mind having one but I would like to get rid of the bed and tube the rear end for a linked suspension. They can look good under the right conditions I think.

Like the Trekker, they were aftermarket conversions sold by some Toyota dealers.
