it depends, depends on what part of the country, but really depends on bad you want it. I personally wouldnt pay that much, but thats me, lol

I have seen some nice pieces go for 13,000.00 .. pristine , and low mile'r ... I have also built a 4Runner with fiberglass custom rears and fronts on it and let it go for 12,000.00 ..

all depends on how much you want to spend !

.

too much?

I'm in WA state and the typical price I've seen except for some tricked-out rigs is about $2500 - $3000.

In the south that's a little over priced but maybe he's doing that to get his wife off his back about having too many toys.I tried it with my jeep and someone still bought the thing.

As I see it the price is going up on first gen 4Runners. I am in Florida and junk is a grand, nice is $3,000 plus.
As stated....it is worth what you are willing to pay and feel good about.

The locker rear is worth $500 on it's own and if the rig is pretty much rust free that is worth A LOT!!! You also stated it has working A/C, header, K&N
and is not leaking anything. Sounds to me to be a good deal.

I see first gen runners going the way of the Land cruiser....big bucks;):
