85 4runner hitch?

i bought a hitch off of a 85 long bed and it wont fit on my 4runner. the body mount is in the way and even if i got it to fit the mount would rub the shackel. an one running a hitch and what u had to do to install?

I have on a hitch on my 88 but I bought the one made for my truck and installing was a piece of cake.
Maybe it would be best to sell the one you have and buy the correct one for your truck. If it were me, I would not do too much modifying on the one you have. Too much and you could compromise the structural integrity of the hitch

i cant seem to find one for a 4runner. they all say pickup

what year is your 4Runner? also an 85?
