I am in the planning stages with my 1985 runner. The truck will have an Old Man Emu spring lift and I plan on running 33x10.5x15 tires. I had intended to use the same stock 4 spoke aluminum Toyota sr-5 wheels that my '88 has with this combination. While contacting a guy on Craigslist who had those wheels, he told me that they won't fit on the solid axle truck as they will hit the steering components. True?? So what do you guys use for wheels on a solid axle truck? I have never been an aftermarket wheel guy. right now the truck has a set of "progressive" brand wheels on it that are quite retro to say the least......... any possible solutions? I should be able to get by with a 7" wide wheel with that tire size correct? thanks for your input
