I went through the chase to resolve the knock sensor, code 52 CEL. I suggest you wire a replacement direct to the ECU before you take apart the top if the engine. I did it to many times. I found the shielded cable between the ECU and the engine connector was at fault.

so i had this issue and it was the cable had been damaged, i went through the whole top end teardown i ended off biting off more than my mechanical abiltiy(or lack there off) could handle. in hindsight i could have gotten away with changing the cable and bolting an OEM knock sensor to the engine mount. i bought a parts runner with a severe knock, not a single CEL was thrown from the sensor.

You’ve got most of it covered. Also replace intake and plenum gaskets, PCV valve, thermostat, vacuum lines, spark plugs, wires, and distributor o-ring. For injectors, try Denso, RC Engineering, FiveO Motorsport, or have your originals cleaned and tested.
