85 Toyota 4Runner - Looking to Sell

Just wondering what the going rate is for these today.

I have a 1985 4Runner that just doesn't get used as much as it should. The truck is very clean, rust free, with no known issues. It has 190ish thousand miles on the original stock 22RE motor. I have owned this 4runner for about 15 years and I bought it out of Portland OR with about 150k miles on it. I store this truck every winter and it has never seen the snow or Michigan salty roads. I put about 3000 miles a year on this vehicle.

Only aftermarket additions have been the 2" Old Man EMU suspension lift with shocks, the 32" BFG Mud Terrains, the Trail Gear rear tube bumper, and the highly sought after and no longer available Downey Offroad bikini top. The truck has a 5 speed manual transmission and the basic brown interior with manual windows. The rear window is powered and does work. This truck is not new and has minor door dings and stone chips as would any vehicle the drives on a road. It's a 32 year old truck, what can I say.

So I want to sell this locally and not bother with Ebay. I am just looking for some honest input on what I should be listing this for. Any input is certainly appreciated.

Yeah, no doubt about that. I've had offers for much more. A clean, rust free 4x4 truck in Michigan is hard to come by. And the rarity of an 85 4Runner, solid front axle, fuel injection is really hard to find anywhere.

It's a 5 speed manual btw.

Yeah, no doubt about that. I've had offers for much more. A clean, rust free 4x4 truck in Michigan is hard to come by. And the rarity of an 85 4Runner, solid front axle, fuel injection is really hard to find anywhere.

I got this one for $1800. It has 260k miles and it's a turbo. Only problem is its an automatic. Cool for a beach cruiser here in California. Wanna trade? Lol

A good running turbo is rare. Nice find! 87 is it?
A lot of people like the solid front axle. Better for off roading I guess, but I'd hate to see my truck turn into a beater. Not many clean ones left.

Yep it's an '87. I have to do the head gasket here in a few weeks. Turbos tend to blow the head gasket quite often I've heard. This is the first one on this truck for me.

Do what every single person that has ever sold a car for all time has done....list it for a price and keep dropping it until it sells. Then you'll know exactly what it is worth at that very moment. Ask $10k for it if you want.

There are more than 50 variables regarding a vehicles worth and each buyer has their own likes and dislikes. For example, I can't stand when people replace the stock wheels on classic cars/trucks (really any car for that matter) and install tires that stick out past the fenders.
