My 86' with a 22RE had really been running great, but it has developed a miss in the number one cylinder at idle when warmed up. Runs fine after initial start up, but drive it for a few miles and it misses. Plugs, cap, rotor and wires were replaced six months ago. Swapped 1 and 3 plugs but miss stayed in no. 1 cyl. Thought it might be a bad injector but before buying new ones, I dumped in a couple of bottles of Lucas oil injector cleaner, filled the tank and went on about a 150 mi. road trip. It seems to be better, but it still has a slight miss at idle. A friend who has a P/U with a 22RE, said he had a similar problem that turned out to be a bad coolant temp sensor. I see it has two sensors, I assume one is for the gauge and the other is for the signal to the computer. Which one is which? Has anyone else had this problem? I appreciate any advice!
