87 Runner Brake Problem

hey all i'm havin' one hellof a time with my brakes. I heard a grinding in the front right side so I went a picked up a set of pads and rotors, well then I found out I needed wheel bearings and calipers. Then when that was all installed the booster failed, replaced that then the master cylinder went. Replaced that and now for some reason I can't keep the system to hold pressure.....I can pump the pedal about 10-15 times and get pressure in the system, have bled the brakes 4 times now. The problem is I can't keep pressure in the system. I have checked all the lines and there are no leaks and I went so far as to get ANOTHER master cylinder and put that on. When you pump the breaks to get pressure the minute you let off the pedal all pressure is gone. When my buddy had his head under the hood he heard a "release of pressure" from the master cylinder. I'm assuming that this means that the reman master cylinder i have is bad. Any halep anybody can give me would be much appreciated. I am picking up a NEW mastercylinder tonight and gonna try that but i'm pretty stumped.....HELP!!!!! :awais: :bash: :dammit: :sobbing: :cursin: ****I think those should take care of what I have been feeling for the past week******

UPDATE!!!!

Ok, still no brakes. I've replaced everything in the braking system. Both front rotors, Calipers, pads, lines, master cylinder, brake booster, back cylinders, LSPV. I've bench bled the MC, Bled all lines, bled the LSPV, and even bled the return line. but nothing. I can't seem to hold pressure in the system. Can someone throw me a bone here?!?!!? I am stumped and don't know what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I found out last night also that the previous owner changed the lines going to the LSPV (two) they come from the front splitter right under the passenger side wheel well. I want to make sure that he hooked them up correctly can someone please take a picture of their first gen. showing which line is which? Thanks.

i had the same problem....

hello there... i just had the same problem..... my brakes wouldnt bleed for crap....not even with a vacuum pump.. so i decided to manually feed brake fluid through the system to get it prepped.. the way i did this is by gravity... the master cylinder no matter if it rebuilt or new has a tendency to not bleed fluid. so i hung a bottle of fluid which was tee'ed off to both the lines that go to the master cylinder. Then i opened the bleed screws in the front until there was no air and then proceded to the lspv and then to my final destination: the rear brake bleed screws. after i had no air in the system, i quickly disconnected the lines and purged the pump (purging the pump is easy...; have your friend pump the brakes while you put your fingers on the exit holes of the master cylinder. if everthing is good, your friend will feel a little pressure on the pedal as well as you will feel the pressure/ liquid squirt out) as soon as that happens, screw the lines back into the master and pump a good 15 times. the you will atleast have pressure. from the slowly remove blled the brakes starting with the rear drivers side then the rear passenger and the the front passenger then the front driver.
