87 to 90s front end conversion

I just bought a brand new 1987 4runner and I've owned two 1990 ext cab pickups. . I've noticed quite a few people have 90s model bumpers/lower valances on these late 80s trucks. Is this conversion a pain or just bolt right in place?! I apologize in advance I'm sure this question has been asked multiple times!

Not sure why you would want to do this.. It def going to be more than just bolt on.

Yeah the way the bumpers mount is similar but as far as the front end as a whole that will be a lot of work. The 2nd gens have more bubbly (for lack of a better term) look to them, you would have to make the fenders and everything all work and line up correctly.
If I were you I would just leave it as is and get an aftermarket winch bumper.

I want to do it simply because I think it looks good. I wish I could upload the pictures of the trucks I have saved on my phone with this done. And no in no way am I talking about the entire front end. I'm talking about just the bumper and valance.

1st gen bumpers mount on the front cross member, 2nd gen (and 3rd gen pickups, like your past one) mounts on the side of the body mounts.

This one is a 92 or later, 89-91 might have flat top bumpers
