880 and 906 COILS on a 1998 4Runner 4WD

Well, it's my stock 1998 4Runner SR5 4X4 looks now. I will post pictures as soon as I receive and install the 880 and 906 coils.

Could someone tell me if these shocks (Bilstein 24-100144 - Bilstein 5100 Series Shocks) can be used with some OME 906? Thank you.

Those would be the rears for a 1st gen Tundra. Extended length 22.4" and collapsed length of 13.84". Although I have not run this setup, I think they would work fine with the 906's.

IMO they might be too long... long enough so the 906 would come unseated. I'm going to be installing some 906 rear springs and elected to go with a different shock off of a Silverado so I wouldn't lose all of my up travel (which is the big problem with installing the Tundra rears on a 2" lift. You'll only have like 3" of up travel before you're on your bump stops). It's in my build thread, link is in my sig. If I would have gone with a 3" lift, I would have definitely chose to do the longer rear shocks.

Installing mine in the next two weeks, so we'll see how it measures out in reality...

No they wont be too long. People run the 906's with the bilstein 5125's (F4-BE5-6252-H5) all the time. That shock is 21.54" extended, plus the 1" stem adapater for that shock, so extended length with those is 22.54". And there is no issues with the 906's coming unseated.

To the OP, if you go with those 5100 shocks (24-100144) you will need to change out the lower bushings. They need to be 3/4" bushings.

Those sound like a good shock. If you can get the 3/4" bushings for them I think they would be a good option. Otherwise the 5125's are always a good choice.
