881 890 lift question

I know im sorry another ome lift question i tried searching and did not find too much. My question is can you do the 881 890 springs no spacers with stock shocks front and rear? I just put new kyb gas a just shocks on and was hoping i can use them still went i do the lift.

Tons of info on this if you search. I just did the 881/890 lift on mine. No spacers. Just used Bilstein shocks/struts instead. Pretty sure you would be fine unless you need the extra length of some longer shocks. The Bilsteins are a bit longer than stock to better handle lift springs.

Hey my 4runners twin. Yeah i searched on here and google and couod not find a solid answer on if you can use stock rear shocks. After a little more searching i did find some info. I guess you cqn but it limits your rear drop a little. For my needs that is fine for a little while not doing crazy crawling. The front diff drop recommended for 881 springs?

I'd be a little skeptical keeping stock length shocks on the rear with the 890's. It's a pretty good jump in height. Seems the stock size would be stretched pretty far. I would think that might significantly shorten their lifespan. Diff drop is always debatable. It doesn't hurt anything. I have it on my truck. One tip I'll say is be prepared to re-boot your CV's after you lift it, diff drop or not.

265/70/16. Not the final tire/wheel look I want but these tires still have a good amount of tread left.

I don't have the diff drop. The 881's weren't too much taller than my stock springs to make me worry. The only thing that bothers me is the panhard rod pulling the axle to the right since the geometry is tweaked. It makes the rear end feel like its swimming or wiggling side to side over bumps. Not a bid deal, but enough for a car guy like me to notice.

Panhard bar drop will fix that. I know the exact feeling you're talking aboot. Sway bar/control arm bushings can also be culprits. Or, damn Bilstein upper shock mount adapters. I can't even...

I don't have the panhard drop shackle on mine and I run OME 890. Haven't noticed an issue.

The word "need" here is subjective. Most people won't notice the squirmy feeling from the back shifting from side to side when going over bumps. I do because I've spent more time in souped up race cars with nearly zero suspension travel than in trucks.

Install the springs and feel it out for now. Odds are, you won't even notice what I'm talking about. If you do, get the drop.

Did you get Bilstein 5100s or the stock replacement 4600s?
