It drives well, needs alignment, suspension is taller than necessary but not an issue. No rust, frame looks great as does floor. There is a large dent on the passenger side rocker panel where the previous owner hung it on a rock or a log. Paint is not horrible, power rear window works. Shifts well... I'll upload some pictures in a bit. The interior is in great shape

What is the deal with those upper control arms? The truck looks like it is stock height based on the angles? Do the uppers allow for more travel?

It has an aftermarket lift on it. It's about 2-3 inches taller than stock.
I'm passing on it for now. I don't think I can justify a third vehicle, so Im mulling my options as far as changing my daily driver. I love my truck, but maybe a 4runner of some vintage would make me happier?
I have no delusions of being a dedicated overlander, but I want something that can handle bad roads and take the family camping. (the truck is probably the best option, but it doesn't have the aftermarket support a t4r has)

Start with off-road tires
No... seriously... make sure it is reliable first. Do inspection first. All inspection recommended by users manual if possible.
And pls put year-trim-engine-transmission on your signature. Saves time when asking others for help. Have fun with the truck.

It looks well cared for: previous owner switched out the auto hubs for manual, addressed the rear end sagging springs, nice bumper and winch. All the good stuff, none of the dumb stuff. Good Luck!

Glad someone picked it up. Id swap the hubs to AISIN factory hubs if you can find a set. Do all your normal stuff like oil changes, trans/rad flush, bleed brakes, check your brake lines, and change the sparkplugs. And most importantly, have fun! Better tires wouldnt hurt either haha.

So far I've respooled the winch to get rid of the birds nest, dropped a new battery in it, and new fluids. I'm gonna put my Cooper AT3's on to hold me until I can afford some Grabbers. I have a lot to learn to get it set up how I picture it in my head. Gonna go play around in the mountains this weekend to get my feet wet. Never used an air locker before.
