So for all those curious about how a 1uzfe wakes up from cryo-freeze during swaps.

Had to Let it run to make sure the radiator and electric fan was sending signal and doing its thing.

I sure hope mine sounds and runs as good as yours does when its time to hit the switch!

Just got the heads back from the machine shop and trying to find time here and there to put it together!

Btw, if you're looking for a better way to control the electric fan, I'm using this controller from Dakota Digital:

70A Fan Controller

Yeah, its 120 bucks, but that's a small price to pay for making sure the engine never overheats and stays exactly where you want it for temps! Have had more than my fair share of blown head gaskets due to cooling issues!!!

So California Carb rules require all smog devices from donor 1uzfe to be OBDII and OEM equipment

This Part was 1k At the dealer, but found at the Pick And Pull for 50 bucks after Verifying part number. It was the only OBDII 1995 in 150 mile radius. Also got the OEM Air box.

After Installing all the Smog parts the check engine light would not go away. But it ran fine and idled like a sewing machine

Well local exhaust shop worked some magic.
Carb compliant exhaust put in. 3 OEM Lexus Catalytic converters put in to pass California smog. The exhaust was a OEM Mustang GT take off that the shop tossed in for free. Yes american parts on sleepy and chevy 63" are in the plans.

Notice the 2 catalytic forward of the transfer case skid and the one behind just before the muffler.

The Skid is super beefy, maybe 1/4" was over kill. But Sleepy is now a street sleeper.

Just incase your wondering how tight everything is for OEM catalytic converters

So snooping around the Local Pick and pulls looking for a OEM SC400 Airbox and Intake silencer to make things work due to space constraints.
Luck would have it a sale and the axle was already removed so a quick poach for Chevy 63"

Also using a 3rd gen 4runner to get a transmission was fun. Somehow the one originally installed was having pressure issues and shifting grinds.

Took about 3 yards but located both intake parts needed. They got in but now need to figure out how to connect them. some how dryer hose and clamps might not cut the mustard with the state referee.

Dino check smog for the truck due to OBD2

Every little smog device and parts where checked over but the Techs. Then even hooked up the ODB2 scan to check codes and if it was open looped. They check everything.... even broke out books to check part numbers. measured distances to ensure catalytic converters were in OEM spots for model year of the motor and vehicle donor......this is a good reason to hate California smog, such crazy nit picky small things.

And after the full check of all systems and truck...couple of hours wait... Boom

Life Changes forcing the sale. My Home boss dropped the Ultimatum

Not even new Tunes helped the situation.

New Pioneer with Apple Controls. Plus all wired with 6 carlin switches below for Lights

Brand new infinity speakers front with high tweeters

Hidden infinity rears

Again keeping in the sleeper style factory looking build. Everything was hidden except for tweeters

Its Official... Sleepy is sold off to new home in the deserts of SoCal.

found a pic of the last day of "project Sleepy"
new owner drove it off with pretty much all the extra spare parts and parts to complete the long travel build.

It was nice knowing "Sleepy" is going to a great home and the new owner is updating on the progress.
