The quality is fine, the thickness appeared to be just about the same as OEM, bracing is the same, good primer on it too
 
By the time you add cost of painting (if you had done professionally), the insert, and other hardware you're looking at a good chunk of change. Not saying it's not a good deal for those that are on a budget and can buy things one at a time, but it still adds up.

It's $14 more then a certifit over the counter sale. Guts are $100-$130 plus $150-$200 paint. IMO a bargin for a well sought after mod for those of us with sport hood envy, lol . Thanks for the sharing the find Ryan, Cerfits are not accessible to everyone.

Why could someone not just paint it themselves?

I picked up some paint from Automotivetouchup.com this week, and will be fixing a couple panels on my truck in the next couple weeks, maybe I can get the confidence to tackle a hood.

Maybe we can set up a temporary booth somewhere. I'm sure it won't be the best job in the world, but something I would be happy with. Especially since I don't need clear coat.

I was a fine art major, specialized in painting (ya, I know, useless in real world) so I think I could paint without problems.

We need to make a trip to Cincy in the next couple months and get some hoods.

Thats sounds like a good idea, i made a "paint booth" out of cardboard so i could paint my wheels in the garage this week. I think we could manage with some plastic and duct tape and some pvc pipe. I got a buddy down the street with a huge area we could do this. I have a sprayer and he has a compressor.

You already know that I am down to get a hood, arent they only like $70 through certifit in cincy?

should see if anyone else in the area wants one too..... Indy folks?
