91 4wd front shock removal- yes I searched

Hello T4R. org.
I am noobie to the world of Toyota. I love my rig and want to change out the front shocks on my 91 4runner 4WD. It looks straight forward enough: lift the front end off the ground/ remove tire/ unbolt top shock retaining nut/ remove bottom bolts. The FSM was all of two sentences.
Are there any tips/ procedures that i need to know before i tackle this important task?

Nope, if the old shocks and hardware are rusty, you may want to consider a little PB Blaster and a wire brush, but it really is that straight forward.

Thanks for the encouragement . On the next trip to the parts store-Pb blaster. I was able to purchase new Monroe Sensa- trac for $11 bucks plus shipping on e-bay. The truck is for snow days in the local mountains- not a serious off road machine. For $11 why not Monroes

success front shocks replacement

I was successful in replacing my front shocks. It was easy took about an hour for both sides- a little pb blaster to clear the seized rusted nuts . Truck rides smooth. I did notice some lower control arm bushings were deteriorating and the innner wall splash shields were missing. These will be next on my task list.
