91 5spd shifting problems

hey guys new here i have a 91 t4r, my clutch pedeal came unwelded from the fire wall so i put it back in place and rewelded it. but from day one of owning this toy( bought used 6months ago) i have had problems shifting into 1st and reverse i have installed a new master and slave cyl. and the clutch is new. does anyone have any idea what could be giving me this problem?

your talking like you have to pump the clutch then it will go into gear? if its like that then either your clutch fork or your throw out bearing.
if its like the sucker just dont go in, you would rather it just move in second then it will fall into first, i would say servo's.
You said you changed the clutch, some people re use the throw out bearing, I dont i hate doing a job a second time because it is not perfect.
your clutch fork can also not be alligned correctly against the throw out bearing.
i know someone is thinking it cant deal with any clutch components, otherwise it would happen all the time in any gear. Well for those with that thought, i have changed throw out bearings in cars that were having to pump then slip it in- not meaning that in a sexual way.

im not sure about the throw out bearin or fork, when i bought it the guy had the clutch done. seems to lose pressure if kept down to long, if i just push in and put in gear were okay, reverse is still tricky ill pull the trans and see have im looking at

Try bleeding the slave. It could be air in the system.

when you say your clutch came unwelded from the fire wall, what do you mean excactly? the pedal itself or the bracket its bolted to? the clutch bracket is known to fail, so if it was just welded into place it might be flexing and not allowing the pedal the full leverage it needs to disengage the clutch fully

i tried the bleeding, and yes the bracket came unwelded on the clutch ped side i did reweld but woundering if i need to re do it and make sure al the travle is their

those brackets are supposed to be bolted on so maybe the previous owner broke it and just welded it back together to save money.
