92 3.0 knock sensor change

Yes, it's a common thing and yes I did some research on this. :nerd: My 92 3.0 has the ole' code 52. The thing is (at least to me) the truck seems to be running fine. Has power etc etc. The CEL for code 52 comes on only when I rev it above 3k or so. Will probably change the wire anyway. Should I spend the extra money for the sensor? I hear its' 90% chance it's the wire. If I tear it down that far what else should I do? I hear something about changing the coolant pipe? I just did the timing belt, water pump VCGs etc etc so don't have to do that. The truck was bought with a broken T-Belt so we didn't know about the CEL till we did all that work. Any help is appreciated
