Hey everyone, i am coming on here to talk about a 1994 4Runner with a knock sensor issue. The check engine light came on and it was deemed as a knock sensor issue, so we replaced the knock sensor and knock sensor harness with oem parts and put it all back together and the check engine light still always eventually comes back on for the same reason. I have been looking through forums and reading all the information on these problems and i’ve seen a common theme of the problem being the one wire that comes from the sensor and goes up through the intakes. People are saying thag this wire needs to be wrapping in either coxial or GTO wire. Do they mean replace that wire entirely with this new wire or just wrap the wire in the new wiring? Also they say that you have to ground the smaller wire to the ecu body, what is that wire? I’m not familiar with this type of stuff so just clarification and a little more in depth details or what i should do would help! Thanks
