i was drivin along an all of a sudden my rpm's dropped to 0, but engine runnin fine still, turned it off turned it back on and still the rpm needle isnt moving but engine still running fine. any ideas? idk if there is a cable running to the transmission or idk

I dont know for sure how the factory tach connects since my 86 didnt come with one but i believe they connect to a wire coming of the ignitor. i dont remember the color of it but you mite check that
