'92 front cv boot.

I noticed an outer cv boot was split today. I have the kit coming tomorrow and I am going to change the boot on Saturday. I heard you had to pull the new boot on over the inner end of the cv joint. Does this mean I have to trash my inner cv boot and replace it also?

I wouldn't think so. But I've never done it before I've go a boot replacement comming up soon.

I just had the cv boots replaced on mine, apparently you have to take the cv off the truck to replace them. or so i was told
