Getting ready to tear apart the 3.0 to do the heads and all the other gaskets on the way. This is my sons first truck and I've never taken a Toyota apart before.
I bought a Fel-Pro engine gasket set, I have a few questions:
I have permatex "right stuff" for sealant, where do I want to use that...should it only be used for paper gaskets or should I put a little on all sealing surfaces?
The heads are coming off and will be getting machined. Any suggestions while I'm inside the motor let me know. The recall HG was done in 98', I found a dealership here in VaBeach that would have done the recall if its wasn't done already.
