Well, It's that time. In February the engine went, lost the mains. Decidied to go with a long block from Home | Oregon Engine Rebuilders - Sandy, Oregon

Board .020 over and camed, also will get a set of Thorley headers and new exhaust. I need new injectors also as some of them are broke, think I did it taking it apart. Any ideas on what I should put in it for injectors?

It's a 93 all stock other than the 32" BFG's

Thanks for lookin!

Well, I figured out what took out the crank bearing. The crankshaft pulley bolt is gone, interesting. Anyone have an extra bolt laying around they're willing to part with or know where to buy a new one?

Toyota dealer will have the crank bolt.

I've seen threads about EBay four hole injectors, you could check those out. I think personally I'd buy used stock injectors and have them rebuilt.

2nd on stock injectors and having them rebuilt by a GOOD shop. I've used https://www.rceng.com/Fuel-Injector-Cleaning-P43C0.aspx a few times before, they do excellent work.

If you have broken ones though, you may just wanna buy new ones, use the money spent for cleaning used ones on the new injectors. Rockauto has replacement injectors, I'd get the Beck Arnley injectors, fully-rebuilt and come with new seals. You can probably send your broken injector(s) in for the core, rockauto usually will take broken parts and credit you back the core charge.

4 of the six, the plastic on the end of them is broke off

That's very easily fixable. Those plastic caps pop right off and can be replaced. I just got a kit from Mr. Injector about a week ago and rebuilt mine.

Really? Thanks, I look into that!

No problems. He even includes instructions to help you when it comes to rebuilding them. There's really nothing to it. I paid $28 shipped for the kit. He's a good guy to deal with.

Hey i may have the bolt laying around. Where are you located? I am in lakewood WA by FT Lewis. I have some other 3.0 parts laying around im willing to part with. Not sure what there but if its worth your time to come check it out then you are more then welcome to come up and take a look at what i have. Im parting out a 2nd gen so you can just see if there is anything you need. If you want to take the whole thing and all the parts ill give it to you for free no paperwork though sadly. Let me know if your interested. Ill PM you my number in case you dont see this before i leave work today.

Anyone have an oil cooler laying around they aren't using? Mine is plugged up and flowing no coolant through it.

Thanks

You can run without it. Some 3VZE's came from the factory without one. If you can't find a used one, you're SoL, they run like $600 from Toyota.

If you're still looking for injectors, I used the Flamethrower injectors that use a spray pattern instead of a stream. They are cheaper than OEM and had no issues in the several years I ran them until I sold it.

Rebuilt OEM injectors work as well, I used Dr. Injector once since he was local to me and did a great job. He was the one who told me to look into spay instead of stream pattern injectors, which he was right about (spray got me better MPG's a little bit more pep at low/mid RPM's).

Well a quick update. The new long block is in place. Working on the DT Header install now. I've decided to go with a 1" body lift from RC Brown to do away with the clearance issues with brake and fuel lines. I also put in rebuilt injectors from RockAuto.

So now I wait for my lift kit so I can finish the exhaust system. Oh Ya, that stupid transfer case cooler - anyone ever just done away with it?

Slowly but surely making progress. The body lift showed up yesterday and if all goes as planning will get installed on Monday. In the process, I have discovered that the harmonic balancer was broken so ordered a new one. Also need to find a new power steering pulley, it was bent up pretty bad. Then to top it all off, I discovered that the bracket that holds the timing belt tensioner spring was completely missing(never there?) so had to order that too. Who know what else I'll need, lol.

Something had to be there to hold the spring on. You might have a hydraulic tensioner.

I pretty much have a running list of parts to order on Rockauto at all times. By the time I finally make an order, I usually think of some other things I should replace and so the next list begins. I also have three vehicles all with over 100K, so they pretty much need constant maintenance.

1" body lift installed, what a difference it makes in the header install.. Would recommend it for anyone doing headers for sure. Still waiting for the rest of my engine parts so I can finish putting it back together. Tomorrow I will finish installing the headers and work on the exhaust. Forgot my phone so no pics :( As for the tensioner, well the spring and bracket was never there and no hydraulic either. Oh well. I've got more money into this thing than I ever wanted to but at least it should last a few hundred k when I'm done.
