Thanks for the link to that, but like I said, there is no hydraulic tensioner on this one, it was originally a spring tensioner and will be again. In all actuality, the tensioner could be done away with as it's only real purpose is to hold tension on the belt as you make your 2 full rotations. After that, the idler bolt is torqued to 27fps. Although it sure would help if for some reason one forgot to torque that bolt, at least until the bolt fell out.

Well the new engine is in and running. Still need to finish the exhaust, any suggestions on muffler? Header Y-pipe is 2.5" so the exhaust will be 2.5 all the way back. Next in the project, once all the snows gone, will be custom front and rear bumpers and the roof rack. Good to have her back on the road again.

Nice work so far, I am looking at putting a flow master 40 on my 93 that my dad has and from the YouTube videos I've found, I like the sound of it. What kind of headers did you end up getting, the Thorley's you mentioned in the first post?What did they set you back? Is the 1" body lift needed or just makes life a lot easier?
The headers are Doug Thorley with the y-pipe. I think it all ran around $650. Real easy to install -after - the 1" body lift. Without the lift you have to move brake lines and fuel lines to clear the header, at least I would have. Others have said they had luck bending stuff out of the way, but with how easy a 1" is to do, I can't see not doing it. I haven't ran it hard at all so can't say if I have more power or not. Have to wait till spring to do that and after the break in period. I've only driven it about 100 miles since I got it running. At this time we're working on the bumper designs.2
