I bought my first Toyota with 344,xxx miles. Its the 3.0 v6 4x4. I replaced timing belt, radiator, and the water pump, went downtown just fine but on the way back the check engine light came on and the next day it will not start. I can hear the solenoids and fuel pump activating. I tried jump starting thinking it was the battery but same thing. I tried bypassing the clutch start switch by connecting the 2 wires. I also ran a wire in the diagnostic from E1 to TE1 like i read here to do but only got a constant blinking check engine light with no pauses. Any ideas?

random question here...
Did you try tugging on the MAF wires at all during your maintenance?
When I first got the runner, I was pulling my intake box and kept tugging at the MAF...after giving up, I put everything back together and it would not start. checked fuel, checked spark...then randomly found a guy who pulled his MAF box apart (after tugging on it as well) and had broken pieces of solder in there. cleaned everything up and made sure all the connections were still soldered and siliconed the box back together...
fired right up.

JUST wondering if you were yanking on your MAF wires though..

I have not yanked on any wires, I will keep that in mind though thank you. If a constant blinking light means no codes logged then why would the light be on in the first place?
